Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who attended the reunion. I think everyone had a nice time. The weather was perfect and it was nice to visit and relax.

Here's the group shot. We need to set something up so we can all share photos. I was thinking either Picasa or Facebook.

Food for the reunion

We looked at a few options and decided Costco platters were our best bet for lunch at the Reunion. So here is the menu:

Crescent sandwiches (platter from Costco)

Tortilla sandwich rolls(platter from Costco)

Veggie platter and dip

Watermelon

Cantaloupe

Pineapple

Several varieties of chips(open for suggestions)

Water, water and more water - plus some of those individual flavoring pouches, in different flavors.

If you have a need for something other than that to drink, please bring your own :)

Cookies(Costco)

We also thought we should have a small snack for later, so that snack will include:

Crackers
Cheeses
Grapes
Carrots
and anything leftover from lunch

If there is something you'd like to bring to add, please feel free

The cost for food will be $7.50 for adults and $3 for kids(Gabe, Nathan and Ayda being the kids)
You can send the money to Linda at 2505 Olmo Ct Bakersfield, CA 93309, Or just bring it on June 26th to the Reunion.

We plan to be at the park by 11am to set-up and make a run to Costco. Lunch will be served around noon.

Can't wait to see everyone there!!!

How does this sound?

We bring our own shade and tables(we will take care of that) and if everyone could bring a lawn chair they could use, or blankets to sit on.

As far as food. My mom and I are willing to get all the food. We'll do a meat/cheese platter with rolls, fruits or veggies, chips, drinks and some cookies. We will figure out the cost of everything and divide it by person.

We could plan to have lunch around noon. We will be there early to set up and get food. So people can come when they want and leave when they want.

Rancho Simi Park

Shade Options

To reserve the pavillion at Rancho Simi Park for June 26th it would be $125 for 4 hours. (We could split the cost per larger family(by 4 - $32) or per individual family(potentially by 10 - $12.50)

Another option is the grass, bring tables and easy-ups. I know my folks have one that could fit all of us. We could bring a few tables and everyone bring your own chairs.

Any food suggestions?

We could all pitch in for a main dish, (like hamburgers) and then everyone bring something for a side dish.

Or we just pitch in money and 1 person buys all the food.

Or we could all bring our own food.

Do we have a date?

I've received a few emails, and it looks like we might have a good date - June 26th, 2010.

I'll let that sink in a little...

First Annual Family Reunion

This is Jolene -

I tossed around the idea of having a small reunion in June/Julyish at the Rancho Simi Park. It isn't the most convenient spot as far as travel. But I think it's a very appropriate spot to start our reunions.
http://www.rsrpd.org/park/rscp/rscp.html

They have pavilions we could rent and a pool that can be rented.

The date needs to be discussed. I understand this might be tough for those in Utah to attend. To make it easier IF some would like to make it, we should probably plan it when school is out.

June 5th
June 12th
June 19th
June 26th

July 10th
July 17th
July 24th
July 31st

August 7th
August 14th

So lets start crossing off dates and see if we can find one suitable for everyone. (see poll on side bar)

**PLEASE NOTE*** I had to replace the poll on the sidebar to add the dates.
